A quick check often resolves the most common issues:
- Restart MidiPilot from the menu bar — many routing glitches clear on relaunch.
- Confirm the device is connected — check the Devices tab. Disconnected hardware keeps its settings but won't pass traffic until it reconnects.
- Check the routing matrix — make sure the connection between your input and output is actually enabled, and that no filter is blocking the message type you expect.
- For OSC issues — verify the OSC Server is enabled in the Devices tab and that your port, IP, and client settings match the sending app.
- Try a factory reset — Settings → Factory Reset restores MidiPilot to a clean state (this erases all saved configuration).
What to include

- The MidiPilot version (menu bar footer, or Settings → About MidiPilot).
- What you were trying to do, and the exact steps to reproduce the issue.

System requirements
- macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later
- Apple Silicon or Intel Mac
Data & privacy
MidiPilot collects no data. Nothing leaves your Mac — your configuration and a small local log live only in your own app container. Read the full privacy policy →
